I didn't say you should lower your standards. I said should you should stop bitching that you are entitled to women who are way out of your league. If you can get an underwear model to date you, more power to you. Dating websites aren't "the real world." As I noted in the OP, they are typically between 70%-90% men on them which tends to skew the supply and demand aspect. Observable reality is just what it sounds like - go to the mall, go to a baseball game and look at who is coupled up - all shapes, sizes, and economic levels of people find each other and get together. It is not only some mythical "top 20%" of men who have partners/dates.

Then there's this as well:

Recent online surveys of more than 1,000 women between the ages of 21 and 54 (one was conducted by Princeton, New Jersey’s opinion Research Corporation; the other was done on BestLifeOnline.com) found that women value personality far more than physical attractiveness. What women want in a man is faithfulness and dependability, a sense of humor, the ability to listen, and a sense of style. Only 13 percent of women cited muscular build as a factor in physical attractiveness. On the other hand, 66 percent of women said moral integrity will “make me quiver."

You projecting what you think is attractive in a man onto women is a bad idea because women typically have other ideas about what is actually important to them.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
