I do find myself routinely educating people about what patriarchy actually means, and sometimes they refuse to understand due to what they’ve taken it to mean in the past, so I get the reluctance. But, it’s also historically part and parcel of the same social structure, so I find it hard to act like it isn’t. Plus, I think it’s important for them to realize that both a male-dominated society and a dominance hierarchy are not inevitable, or even common in our history.

I frequently refer to or link previous stories of mine in new ones, so I’ve found it helpful to have a kind of clearinghouse for many of them, just for my own purposes. I don’t know how many people really go to Inside Of Elle Beau and read under my subheadings, but maybe….?
