I don't know how anybody thinks that's going to end well - unless they are looking at the woman as an object they want to possess and they don't really care whether she likes him back, as long as she is sexually available for him to use - which seems to be where at least some of these guys are coming from. They don't have any grasp of interpersonal skills or emotional connection - just a hook-up culture/porn informed outlook. It's gross, but also really, really sad.

Some people are so addicted to their hurt feelings that they can't be reasoned with or ever learn or grow. M v R is one of those people, IMO.
