I don't know if it really is evolving in the right direction though if younger men are now more likely to be vehemently anti-feminist than older ones -as is the case right now. And, I'm kind of to the point where I don't care if it's marginally better for the society when it's not in the least bit better for me and my friends. I'm about to be 59 years old and I've never experience it getting better. In fact, now that I dare to speak about, I actually experience it getting worse. And it's the same for every woman I know.
This doesn't mean that I don't acknowledge and appreciate that there are men out there who really get and who really care but I see them as being in the distinct minority - and I'm kind of emotionally exhausted by that right now. Being abused slightly less than in the past isn't acceptable to me, particularly when I see and experience so much backlash to even suggesting that systemic abuse is a problem.
I don't know what the net outcome of that ad was but I would be curious to know.
