I don’t know what I think about this idea really, perhaps because I’m a huge pragmatist and I just don’t see it being practical. If women were actually willing and capable of not dating, having sex with and marrying men who don’t respect them, we have long ago turned into the Isle of Lesbos. Somewhere around half the votes that Trump got came from women. Somewhere around 50% of Americans think that the man should be the head of the household, and many of those people are women.

It’s a great idea to keep encouraging women to respect themselves, but this is an uphill battle in a culture that still mostly doesn’t respect women. Obviously, some women do respect themselves enough to not engage with guys like that, but it’s kind of preaching to the choir to tell them to keep up the good work. The women who most need to take this on are the ones who are the least likely to do so.
