I get what you are saying. It's a profession that has long been considered the very lowest part of the dominance hierarchy (because it defies patriarchal norms) and so many people feel completely justified in looking at sex workers as almost sub-human. I think that this is so ingrained that even when sex work becomes legal it will still persist - which is really unfortunate.
