I get what you are saying but it's mighty hard to have good faith discussion when every time you try to talk about some painful experience related to gender inequality (which in the US was entirely legal and overtly accepted a mere 60 years ago) that masses of men essentially tell you to shut up and stop whining, stop making things up, it's not that bad, I didn't do anything, etc., etc., etc. Men have to actually show up in good faith if they want discussion - and not a massive outpouring of grief, frustration and anger at constantly being told that your pain doesn't matter.

And there are men who do that, but they are distinctly in the minority.
