I had to explain to someone (some man) the other day that rape culture isn’t just the men who rape. It’s the society that turns a blind eye towards it as a pervasive issue, that lets convicted rapists off the hook with light sentences because we don’t want to “ruin their lives,” and asks women what they did to encourage or deserve being raped. It’s not enough to not be a rapist yourself, so thanks for saying so.
