I have a really good marriage and yet, I still feel a lot of these same things and seriously doubt that if my husband were to die that I would ever marry or cohabitate again. He's much better than he used to be but I've had to "train" him a lot because that socialization is still so strong. It really does make me wonder if there will come a time when women will stop believing the messaging that they are not complete until they marry and realize that as it stands, it's not a great bargain.
