I have come to realize that our programming really does hurt us all, although sometimes in different ways. I’m pretty much at the point where I’ve thrown all roles and rules out the window and I do life in a way that works for me. It doesn’t make sense to very many people at all, but it makes me happy and it makes my partners happy too — and at this juncture (middle age) that is what I care about.
