I have friends who are sex workers. I have lovers who are sex workers. They do what they do because there is a market for it and it empowers them (and also pays well). They are highly feminist because they are in control of their lives and their bodies. What else is feminism about? You are stuck in patriarchal norms about women and sex. Time to evolve……
The women I know are smart, savvy, kind, and more mentally healthy than the average bear. They love the life they lead. To look at them as wholesale victims or deluded is condescending in the extreme. I also am friends/lovers with a man who left a job in tech to become an escort. He too is more happy and satisfied with his life now. It’s not all roses; it’s not all perfect — but no job is.
