I haven't seen that show, but I appreciate hearing your takes on it. At a strip club, the women really do care about the money. It's their job and that's literally the main reason they are there. All sex workers care about the money, but many of them do try to do things to connect with their clients and keep them coming back to them. Some dancers develop followers, but it's a bit different than one on one sex work.

As to the "can you afford me?" question, although that does come across as a bit brusque, there are plenty of guys who try to get sex workers to reduce their prices, or even have sex with them for free. There are men who walk out without paying. And the SW can't exactly go to the police about that. It felt like a reasonable thing to ask to me. Just my opinion.
