I haven't watched the reboot and don't plan to but I agree with you about Mr. Big. I never saw the attraction, and in fact, really hated that nickname. It's definitely one of the ways that women subconsciously uphold patriarchy as well when they don't question this stuff, and don't demand better characters and story lines. We may not have known any better back then, but we sure do now.
