I hear this time and again - always from white men, that impacting poverty will somehow magically do away with racism. But people who are bought into the social dominance hierarchy will always see Black people as inferior to them, no matter the monetary conditions, as you've already pointed out about the racism that even wealthy Black folks experience. I think that many of these white people don't want to acknowledge the dominance hierarchy and the existence of privilege because then they'd have to admit that they have benefited from it.
