I honestly don't understand your comment. You acknowledge hearing that women are mostly fed up with the horrors of trying to date, tired of having our concerns about safety and equality dismissed, no longer going to stand for the sexism and entitlement that gets shown to us daily - but we're the problem for not being "nicer" about it?

The problem with the "good guys" is they are sitting back and letting the bad ones pretty much do as they please, without standing up for us, or challenging this stuff in any meaningful way, turning a blind eye to horrendous things and performatively taking other men's sides when allegations are made. You bystanders are just as at fault as the actual culprits because you uphold the system that lets it happen, with your silence and your inaction.

The reason this has been going on for 100 years with only a small bit of positive movement is THAT! Stop complaining about women not being nice enough about their oppression and help to challenge the system and the men who do the things.

How exactly did we "get our way?" An American is raped every 68 seconds - most of them women, 85% of American women have been harassed on the street when they were children, some as young as 9 or 10, fully half of all women who are murdered are killed by current or former male domestic partners. I could go on, and on, and on about the continuing state of unequal pay and workplace inequality, about the ways that so many men seem to believe that women exist to make them happy and give them pleasure, about how there is still a credibility gap even for women in the highest levels of government and business. What exactly is it that we are overreacting about?

How about YOU stop overreacting to our bid for actual safety and real equality and become part of the solution - because as it stands, you are a part of the problem.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
