I hope some of your readers will attempt to answer this question. I'm a squirter, although I typically orgasm and squirt at the same time and I think my husband just really enjoys the primalness of it. I'll have to ask him beyond that, and see what he says.

PS - I always put down towels or a bed pad before we have sex, and it's a nuisance and kind of unsexy, but it does keep thing more manageable.
