I like the idea of people wearing whatever they want and that picture of Billy Porter is Hot — in part because it’s such a middle-finger to society. And, until we dismantle patriarchy a bit more, a societal construct where things that are gendered male are considered more serious and powerful than things that are gendered female, it’s going to be slow going. The younger generation is a source of hope, however!
