…o get excited about because you can’t really ‘win’ at them. Just like you can’t ‘win’ at gardening. Rare relationships are very garden-like. They need maintenance and they have winters. But if you show up each season ready to read the weather and with fresh ideas, you can get a year round crop. The future success of your garden has only a tiny bit to do with what you did last year, it’s a fresh slate each season of new seeds, weather and bugs. Gardening doesn’t really accrue.
