I realize that other columnists and people in general sometimes use that term in a more general way. From my perspective, it not being used in a very specific way as relates to masculinity was what led to that term now being essentially useless because it's so emotionally loaded because it's too broad. I just didn't want to see the same happen here, but apparently, I was too late, based on the 10 or so angry responses I got (even though I also got hundreds of claps). 😏
Insecurity and self-involvement aren’t really feminine traits, and although I did want to make that point, I wasn't intending to be the word police or to hijack your story, so I apologize if that's how it came across. I can get a bit overzealous at times.
