I really think you are on to something with this. After reading a lot about the manosphere recently, what really struck me is the sense of community and belonging that is otherwise missing from these men's lives. The fact that the bonding takes place around degrading and dehumanizing women is shocking and reprehensible but I definitely can see how it has it's appeal for someone who has always felt other and on the outside. It's their chance to be a part of a community and to fit in.
