I remember being in Paris for a day as an 18 year old and in those 6 or 7 hours our group of young women was approached by perhaps 20 men or groups of Italian men wanting to "talk" to us. I was pretty put off by it. The French guys left us alone. Fortunately, I'll be in Italy with my husband on a fairly upscale trip, so hoping to not have that problem this time around, but thanks for the heads up.
