I say this All.Of.The.Time - just go to the mall and you will notice all sorts of shapes, sizes, and economic levels of couples who are paired up. But there is a subset of man who insists that women only want the 6/6/6 guys no matter how many women tell them that this mostly isn't the case - that most women actually care a lot more whether a man is willing to view her as an actual person and an actual partner than whether he is tall, muscled, and rich. Nope, that can't be true, because then Broseph would have to improve his personality and check his entitlement, and he doesn't want to have to do that, so it must be those terrible women who demand too much of things he doesn't have. 🙄
And who exactly is going to enforce monogamy in a culture where somewhere between 25-60% of supposedly exclusive relationships experience infidelity? We used to have that sort of world prior to the 1970s where nearly everyone got married because women didn't have a lot of other choices- and guess what, it spawned the Women's Movement - it didn't fix society. Has Peterson ever watched Mad Men, I wonder?
I swear, he comes up with shit and never researches it, or even truly thinks it through. He just decides that it is correct - when in fact, often the exact opposite is what is true. For example, in cultures where women have a lot of social power and autonomy, men have a lot of sex, and a better life in general. The solution isn't more patriarchy, it's less.
