I say this in utter good faith and frenemyship. His story is full of specific examples with links to many other stories that further illustrate the points made. You tend to talk in generalities that have no examples, no specifics, and no larger context and so it just comes across as a white guy, er penguin, who is tired of hearing about racism and doesn't really get how debilitating it can be. Steve has the advantage of speaking from personal experiences but also writes with a level of nuance and empathy that I find to be missing from your stories. Perhaps take some pages out of his book if you'd like to have less backlash.
I gave his story maximum claps.
