I so agree with this. I get that language is alive and tends to evolve, but that typically happens in a shared understanding way. I do think we live in a world where a lot of people are the "walking wounded" dealing with unprocessed trauma. Gabor Mate talks a lot about how trauma impacts addiction and shortens life expectancy, as well as how clearly traumatized most of our leaders are (Trumps father was horrible to him, Obama's father was absent, etc.) Greater cultural understanding of how trauma shapes our society might help lead us toward a kinder one or at least one where there are more resources for healing and dealing with trauma.
