I still don't understand the dynamics of keeping things the same after a divorce as far as how that works both enconomically or from a practical standpoint. If a dad barely sees or takes care of his kids when he's married, it doesn't seem like "keeping it the same" would be of any benefit to him. But I'm content to say that this is too complex and too different from a US/UK perspective to continue to try to discuss in writing.
