I think a lot of guys think this way and it creates this weird dichotomy of putting women on a pedestal and taking your self-esteem from them, and then resenting and disparaging them if they "fail" to do that or turn out to be regular fallible human beings, just like men. It's unbelievably objectifying and not great for guys either.

As to your body count, I'm one of those who can't really understand why anybody at all cares about this - even for women. I get that there are still a lot of patriarchal notions in play, but 30 years into hook-up culture, how can this possibly be something that most people think about? It's crazy to me, maybe because I'm a sex positive person, but still . . . Don't you all have something better to do with your time?
