I think it's a bit reductive to call this a good boys/bad boys difference, but I get how it works for making your point. It's always going to be more fun to date someone who is confident in who they are and what they bring to the table, someone who isn't overly cowed by societal expectations and norms, and who wants to keep things fun and interesting - but that goes both ways (unless a man is truly looking for a Stepford wife, and some of them are). For regular men, all these same things are attractive in a woman.
Most women want a man and not a boy (who expects them to act like their mother). They want someone who will treat them with affection and respect, but who isn't a lap dog because that's boring, and what's the fun of having a boring partner?
