I think it's a very high percentage. I read something (but couldn't find it again for this piece) that said that despite resenting this sort of authoritarian parenting, most go on to recreate it in their own families - in part bc they've been taught to try to dominate and control anyone weaker and even though it harmed them, they rationalize that part away when doing it to their own kids.
