I think it’s like so many things. We get stuff pushed at as by “salesman” whether they are the Madison Avenue kind or just the peer pressure kind, and they say, “You should like this.” When we are too young and insecure to know better, we tend to go along with that kind of thing without thinking too much about it. Part of true maturity is evaluating everything you’ve been taught and seeing if it actually works for you or not.
