I think that marriages that aren't between two actual partners are not great for women. This doesn't necessarily mean splitting absolutely everything 50-50 but there does need to be a real desire for balance and in supporting each other. Hierarchy and "I'm the man" thinking don't seem to lead to very satisfying marriages, even for people who ostensibly believe in them such as evangelicals.
