I think this is another one of those culturally indoctrinated things about the way that men are taught to view women. It’s almost like a variation on the Madonna/Whore dichotomy. Instead of being a person, she’s seen as some sort of archetype, there to please him in the way that he seeks to be pleased at that time. It doesn’t work well for anybody.
