I think tons of people have children because "that's just what you do." It's what's expected, and the next step in adulthood, but probably way more than 14% wouldn't make the same decision again knowing what they know now. They may not go so far as to regret the children they have, but simply wouldn't do it again if they had the option to remember how hard, exhausting, and constricting it actually was - particularly for women.
