I think women as a gender are deeply disappointed with men as a gender right now, and a lot of that is valid - for some of the reasons that you named and some that I have. People often write to process things that are painful or difficult, so that's probably why you read more of that than about happy relationships - although I did recently publish a love letter to my husband. And, my dear friend just met and married a really wonderful guy that she met online. My nice but kind of quirky brother-in-law who has been married twice before just met a really nice woman who he is having fun dating. It's not all sturm und drang for everyone.

Personally, I keep wondering how to get more men to care about things like sexual violence and still quite rampant inequality, and that is quite frustrating because a lot of them don't seem to want to engage with that. I find it very disheartening.
