I think you are largely on track, although the narratives that some men insist on passing around as truth about what women want are scapegoat scenarios that keep them from having to take any responsibility for themselves. But, at the same time, women often uphold patriarchy as well. I'd love to see a world where more people challenge their societal programming, find their own way to be who they really are, and get supported for doing that - where that is recognized as being courageous and rebellious in a pro-social way.
I absolutely hate performative toxic American dominance hierarchy posturing like trash talking - something that women engage in as well sometimes. It just looks weak and like poor sportsmanship to me - and yet we even see it on shows like Flea Market Flip. It's such a part of the fabric of our dominance hierarchy culture. Been meaning to write something about that. Maybe now I will.
