I think you have to make art for yourself; otherwise it's not art - it's consensus amalgam. Trying to jump through hoops to please others means you always betray yourself. It's fine if some people don't like what you do, but at least you were being true to you. I think TS learned that years ago. Good for her - more people should do that.
