I was hoping you would weigh in. The SWs I know are very egalitarian and largely available to work with anyone who isn't scary, creepy, or violating their boundaries. My husband pointed out that lawyers don't have to take every client who wants to hire them, which is in line with your therapist analogy - so I agree, SWs wouldn't have to take every client.

The right to refuse service for any reason applies to ones that are not prohibited by law, such as race or disability - so for any reason that isn't an illegal reason - at least if the business meets the conditions of being a public accomodation.
