I watched a video clip from Arnold Schwartzenager today calling for us all to support President Biden, and to put our nation and our democracy above our political ideology. Then I watched long time Republican operative Steve Schmidt say pretty much the same thing. If dyed in the wool Republicans lead the way, at least some others will follow and those who won't will eventually find themselves at the bottom of the Darwinian ladder for failing to adapt. Demographics are changing and they aren't going back.

White women will follow their men, because in many ways, they don't think that they have any other choice. It costs women a lot to buck the system and some of them just aren't up to it - yet - or have been too indoctrinated to know better. Some just want the perks that come with being a second class citizen rather than a third class citizen, but despite this horrible situation, the world is changing. It may be a fucking nightmare for a while here, but I also think that this incident has woken up a lot of people who went along with Trump in the past because he was the R candidate and it was the path of least resistance. Responsible Republicans need to lead the charge on this if it is going to have hope of success. Moving away from this toxic cult makes more room for broader societal progress.
