I wish I could clap for this more than 50 times. A while back I wrote Does My Wild Scare You? In it, I referenced and quoted from the book, Women Who Run With Wolves and your piece very much made me think of this from the book:

To be strong does not mean to sprout muscles and flex. It means meeting one’s own numinosity without fleeing, actively living with the wild nature in one’s own way. It means to be able to learn, to be able to stand in what we know. It means to stand and live.

Someone else commented that not every woman wants this, but I don’t know that this is strictly speaking true. They may not pursue it, they even be afraid of it, but I think that one of the reasons that we have such a dysfunctional society is that both women and men are so cut off from their “wild” selves. They try to fill that longing with money or achievement or relationships, but I think that’s really just covering up the longing for authenticity and a deep connection with their own souls, which is what that wild place truly is.

And, I agree that it’s good not to speak for others, but I also believe that most people long for something they don’t even know how to identify or name.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
