If all women only wanted to marry rich, tall, muscular men, the human race would have died out long ago. That's a nice story for bitter men to cling to, but it has no basis in fact. Look out of any window, go to any shopping mall, and you'll see all sorts of couples of all shapes and sizes paired up.

Of course men are subjected to societal pressures as well, but you're fooling yourself if you think the demands on men and women to be thin and pretty are remotely the same.
