If anybody ever dared to say that to me, I'd laugh and say they must be deeply, deeply pathetically insecure to have to hide behind such nonsense. I don't have a daughter, but if I did and some kid said that to her, I'd rip him a new one on the spot. While it is both lame and stupid, this sort of patriarchal flexing, I wouldn't want any young woman I care about subject to that.
