If you are going to consider yourself a feminist, you need to know what patriarchy is. My definition goes beyond the feminist one, which tends to focus only on the fact that most societies have been male-dominated for the past 5k years or so. My definition comes out of a social science perspective, which includes the full scope of the term, something that describes how men are also negatively affected by a dominance hierarchy system such as patriarchy.
