If you come to any conclusions about why that happens, I'd be interested to hear, because it's something that I see all of the time. And, it's a huge impediment to getting men on board with helping to create a system that works better for us all.

I also want to really thank you for engaging in an actual dialogue with me, even if you didn't initially agree with a lot that I said. You still listened and when I said something that made sense to you, you acknowledged that, without just being performatively defensive. That's a real rarity in my experience, and I appreciate people who are willing and able to do that.
