If you were saying this shit about not being able to force people to like and accept you about race, you'd clearly be called out as a bigot. And besides, that's not the issue. I'm sure most trans people don't care if they are liked as long as they are left alone and given the same basic human rights as any other person - which they aren't. There is no evidence whatsoever that trans women in "female" spaces impact sexual violence or any other substantive issue. It's just hatred of "the other" based in unsubstantiated fear.
As I said before, Chapelle identified himself as a TERF - that wasn't me, and there is substantial evidence that gender critical types are waging a hateful, manufactured and anti-feminist war against a highly at-risk population using nothing but irrational fear, the refutation of science, and internalized patriarchy as their supports.
If you think that people who are fighting for their literal lives are narcissists, then I feel sorry for you because your humanity is substantially eroded. And WTF are natal women? The ones who were assigned that way at birth, whether they actually meet all of the criteria for "normal" cisgender women or not? Does that count when a sex differentiation specialist has to be called in to make a judgement? This is a part of the problem. Gender is scientifically not a binary, no matter who really wants it to be.
Rowling thinks that men in dresses are seeking ways to harm unsuspecting cisgender women, which is not only completely unsubstantiated by facts, it comes out of her own fears and wounds - meaning it's not exactly rational.
