I’m 6’1” and I’ve never relied on a man to make me feel safe- from what, other men? I’ve never actually had a man protect me even when a guy grabbed my crotch in a crowded bar. The guy I was with did nothing and acted like it was no big deal. But I do have lots of experience with being taunted and bullied by boys/men for being tall. It was clearly quite threatening to their idea of how things were “supposed” to be. Plus, there’s a ton of research on this that women are expected to not take up space either literally or figuratively. That’s what men do - in a patriarchy. If women have been indoctrinated into that belief as well, it’s not exactly their fault.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
