I'm a social scientist who has studied this stuff for decades. You are a guy with a lot of opinions. Certainly, there are various schools of thought that recommend and teach self-control, but the fact remains that in a patriarchy, anger reads as a show masculinity and is quite often rewarded. Certainly, there are situations and structures where that isn't going to be the case, but as a sociological dynamic, it's right on track.
“Previous research demonstrates that women who express anger in the workplace are penalized, whereas men are not, and may even be rewarded.”
