I’m always open to having my mind changed by new data. I regularly say to people, even people I’ve been tussling with on-line, that they’ve made a good point or shown me something new. You’ve done neither. You’ve simply declared that you don’t “buy” any of this — with no reasoning, no citations, no logic or useful information of any kind. Your snark and disdain alone are not sufficient to change my well researched and deeply supported point of view. Until you show me something specific that would lead me to believe otherwise, I’ll continue to hold my current views.

This is what 30 years worth of rigorous interdisciplinary academic research has taught Riane Eisler. Perhaps you should refresh your memory because it’s entirely congruent with all that I’ve said (and that Lorelei Weldon has said). If you respect her as a serious scientist but think this is hogwash, you’re in a bit of a pickle.

“Those pushing us back to more autocratic, fear-based, violent, and unjust times uniformly work to maintain or impose rigid rankings of domination in our primary human relations: the relations between the male and female halves of humanity and between them and their daughters and sons. There is a reason for this. These foundational intimate relations are where individuals first learn what is considered natural or unnatural, valuable or not valuable, possible or impossible, moral or immoral. This becomes the template for all human relations.”

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
