I’m frequently just continuing to use what is in the quotes I’ve cited or what is in my sources even if they are not specifically quoted. I can’t help what they say and try to keep consistent for clarity's sake, although I appreciate the sentiment of what you are saying. Before the Common Era is still better than Before Christ.
