I’m not arguing with any of that, but all evidence points to the fact that this tipping point took place in the past 10,000 years when the population started to explode, and other factors such as a more settled, agricultural society impacted competition for resources. That has zero bearing on what Neanderthals were doing or really anything that took place in the time before that point.

The point of my comments was not about the relative viability of peaceful co-existence in the modern age, but about what is knowable and not knowable about the past (or the present, for that matter) based on data, facts, logical inference, etc. The simplest thing to be deduced from the available information is typically the correct one. Not 100% of the time, but overwhelmingly so.
