I'm not saying there is no "masculine" or "feminine" essence. Clearly trans folks are clear who they are, whether it aligns with their body or not. It's just that this is so varied and individualized that I don't think there is any way to create a new box that doesn't have the same problems as the old one. When you tell people "this is how a man behaves" or "this is what a man looks like" it is always going to leave some men out - and cause pain. I'm not advocating for being unisex. I'm just saying that creating your own version makes more sense - as you very clearly have done. Thanks for sharing that, by the way.
