I’m not sure I know what that means exactly, but thanks for the good wishes. If anyone would like to discuss my privilege after caring for an impulsive, non-verbal autistic boy with OCD and a seizure disorder for 21 years, it’s likely to be a short conversation.
I’m well aware that I can afford a plane ticket on short notice and have enough money to redo my kitchen, but those things don’t mean that I don’t also have stress. Other people who don’t have those financial resources are undoubtedly having the same or worse stress, but since it’s not a contest, I’m only going to speak to my experiences.
